Treat Your Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Dr. Eon Shin uses state-of-the-art procedures and a clear vision to improve the standard of care through minimally invasive techniques for carpal tunnel syndrome. If the consecutive treatment options do not provide relief, there are two surgery options for carpal tunnel release.

Endoscopic Release Surgery

Endoscopic surgery involves the use of a very small (4mm) diameter, state-of-the-art camera system to perform the surgery, allowing for a much smaller incision while protecting the adjacent tissues and ensuring the full release of the ligament.

Small incision, less than an inch, hidden in the wrist crease which results in:
  • Decreased pain at the incision site
  • Reduced infection risk
  • Faster return to activities
  • Smaller scar
  • If necessary, both wrists can be operated on during the same surgery

Open Release Surgery

During open release surgery, an incision is made in the palm, and the tissues divided until the entire width of the transverse carpal ligament can be visualized. The surgeon then cuts the ligament completely, ensuring that the nearby nerves are protected.
  • Larger, several inch incision, in the palm
  • If necessary, both wrists require multiple surgeries due to recovery time and incision size
Proven results and fast relief for your hand, wrist, and arm pain.
